Join a National Conversation About the Critical Role of HBCUs
We’re kicking off our HBCU Student Journalism Network with a free virtual event to examine the key issues facing this critical sector of American higher education. Please join us!
The conversation will feature college leaders, national education journalists, and our first cohort of HBCU student journalism fellows. Come discuss the key issues facing historically Black colleges and universities in 2023 and explore what’s missing in the public dialogue.
The event will be held on Zoom on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. ET. It also will be recorded. Register here.
Speakers include:
Jarrett Carter, Sr. — a program mentor for the HBCU network and director of operations, strategy, and communications at Howard University
Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis — Benedict College president
Erica L. Green — education reporter at the New York Times
Adam Harris — staff writer at the Atlantic and author of "The State Must Provide"
Our six HBCU fellows (Meet them here.)
We hope to see you there!
