Dr. Glover isn't even in the conversation.

This position would be better suited for a K-12 administrator, rather than a college president. The K-12 education system have issues that a person like Dr. Glover doesn't have the background to address. I would rather see someone get a gig from their strengths versus what you "think" they will be good at.

But aren't you writing about what you "think" would be a better fit for the position? Additionally, why does K-12 take more precedent over higher education? We've had several secretaries with expertise in that area and where are we nationally when it comes to student achievement and equity? Still looking to colleges and universities to reverse engineer what isn't done in K-12.

Jarrett,

You have exceeded excellence once again in your recommendation of President Glenda Baskin Glover for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Excellence. I highly support and endorsed your recommendation. If President Glover is selected to serve as the Secretary of Education, I believe that she will exceed excellence in the performance of her duties, and she will be effective in serving all the people with a spirit of inclusion. As a former President who had the privilege of serving as a fellow President with Dr. Glover, I can attest to the fact that she will bring a new vision to the U.S. Department of Education so indeed "No Child is Left Behind."
