I got a text this morning from a dear friend and HBCU advocate. Who knew two of the most powerful people in HBCUs would be two white women who never went to one - Marybeth Gasman and MacKenzie Scott? Gasman is arguably the highest-profile researcher on subjects of culture and philanthropy within the HBCU sector. Scott is the single-most prolific donor in the history of HBCUs and on the list of the nation’s higher education benefactors at large.
Interesting reading of your articles about the two Caucasian women. I agree wholeheartedly. Until we as Black Americans ( we that can trace our family back thru at least 100yrs.) stop sending most of our best and brightest children to them to be indoctrinated . We will always be shut out of the 5 Pillars of power for any civilization.
