A bill designed to settle a landmark discrimination lawsuit between the State of Maryland and stakeholders of its four public historically Black institutions will be reintroduced in the legislature in early 2021.
It seems that whenever there is a need to right a wrong, there are people who try to use the "we have no money" excuse to get out of paying. I am willing to bet if this were UofM, the coffers would open up with no questions. There needs to be a stronger and more ruthless alumni and active student group to send the governor a message to pay up or get replaced.
