Harvey has collected thousands of signatures in recent days and dozens of comments on perceptions of the university’s politics and policies under his tenure.
Witnessed this at Tuskegee University. Well intentioned and ill-informed students and alumni circulate petitions, then half the grievances get refuted in the first 2 minutes of a conference call. I’ve been guilty my own self🤭.
It’s important well informed alumni pipelines communicate who is responsible for what, and the limitations of change, so we put water on the fire and not the smoke. I hereby nominate Jarrett Carter as the official consultant for all future HBCU petitions...
