Maybe the new President will focus on student success to graduation rates. In it's 2011 cohort, Alabama A&M had a 4% graduation rate that slightly improved to 8% in 2013. It's six year 2011 cohort was 24% and 2013 30%. This is not exactly success. Though the school may take in students, it certainly is not graduating them.
I do need to assert that increases in graduation rates takes time. It is also the quality of students admitted, along with the appropriate support services provided to them. In general, many of the nation's HBCUs are doing poorly with graduation rates. I will submit an article with evidence of this with hopes Carter will produce it.
